Bridget is a successful portrait artist based in East Lothian, Scotland who works mainly to commission. She gained a First Class Honours Degree in 1990 and since then her work has included book illustrations, maps, cartoons, murals, packaging and festival posters.

Whilst the majority of her work is child and pet portraits, she also enjoys more unusual commissions (for example a favourite pair of shoes).

Bridget works in a variety of media but tends to use gouache for animals, and pastels for children as it gives a softer finish. Bridget works from photographs which she prefers to take herself, but can work from good quality supplied pictures.
